Therapy For Me workshop at Sutton Women’s Centre

Last week, I had the pleasure to run an interactive workshop about Self-Compassion and Self-Care at Sutton Women’s Centre. All the attendees contributed during the workshop and were open to share their experiences. We had a helpful discussion on: self-criticism and self-attacking thoughts but also ways we can be kinder towards ourselves and take care of ourselves more.

Sutton Women’s Centre has been supporting women since 1985. It provides a safe space for women to talk but also take part in activities. Some of the services it provides include:

  • Counselling support for women who have experienced Domestic Violence and Sexual abuse
  • The ‘Freedom Project’ : 12- week programme for women who experience Domestic Violence
  • Drop-in sessions : for women to have an informal discussion with people at the Centre
  • Mum and Toddler group
  • IT support
  • ¬†Activities, such as: singing and creative writing

If you need their support, do not hesitate to contact them: http://www.suttonwomen.co.uk/
