Helping you build confidence in managing your difficult thoughts and feelings.
You may be used to holding everything together — at work, in relationships and for the people who depend on you. Yet beneath the surface, you might feel anxious, uncertain or weighed down by the voice of your inner critic that never seems to rest.
My mission as a therapist for anxiety
As a CBT therapist based in Morden, I help reflective adults understand where those patterns come from, learn practical, evidence-based tools to manage them and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
My passion for mental health and wellbeing drives my work, and I believe in creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel comfortable to explore their thoughts and emotions. I understand that seeking therapy can be a big step, and I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey towards personal growth.
My clinical and academic experience
I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for anxiety and OCD in Morden, South West London. I specialise in helping adults manage issues, such as: guilt, self-doubt, self-criticism, low self-esteem and stress. Through a compassionate and tailored approach, I aim to help my clients to develop healthier thought patterns, improve emotional wellbeing and regain a sense of control over their lives.
I specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the University of Oxford. Since then I have had many years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different mental health symptoms. I have supported clients dealing with:
-OCD
-generalised anxiety
-social anxiety
-panic
-health anxiety
-low mood
-work related stress
and a range of other presentations. I have specialised in working with perinatal mums and dads as well as adults with long-term conditions. I have worked in both NHS settings and private practice, giving me a broad understanding of the mental health landscape and the unique challenges faced by those seeking support.
In the last 5 years of my NHS career, I worked as a Specialist CBT therapist for anxiety at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma at the Maudsley Hospital supporting perinatal parents. I have also worked for the University of Surrey as a CBT supervisor as part of their CBT training course.
